Can make some money by submitting sites to search directories? If so, how difficult is it? How much money can you make?

Ehh... I tried to do it once. I would have been paid about $4 for the first 100 submissions, then a lot more after that.

It is very very hard work!

All website submissions must be manually submitted, and it takes a few minutes for each directory. That means you would need to spend over two hours submitting the same site to different directories, non-stop!
And not all directories will accept the site...

How many search directories did you manage to submit a site to a day? On your best day?

I don't think its worth the time. Spend the hours its would take to submit to all those directories on your own sites and you''ll eventually see much better return.

Well, I quit submitting after maybe an hour. I had only done between 5 and 10 directories since most required some sort of email activation. And some directories verify sites manually, so they didn't show up for days.
Seriously, I wouldn't recommend trying it manually. If you have some sort of submission script or program, then use it Very Happy

The person that I use for directory submission doew very well at it.

The reason being is that he hand picks the directories that he is going to use and most of them use the same software.

Then he uses tools that will auto-fill in the values for the sites that he is doing.

As far as the email activation goes, he puts in your email and you do the clicking.

But … doesn’t that make this service less valuable than (legitimate) manual submission services? Also how many search directories can he/she submit at maximum?

There probably isnt any limit to how many he can submit.
The biggest downfall to this is that you're getting way too many links way too fast and google doesnt approve of that. That and duplicate anchor text.

It is often said that getting many links isn't really a problem, but when you get so many links in an unnatural way, Google doesn't value those links much or Google just gives some time to value those links.

Ya I certainly think its a good idea to make these submissions in stages, and alternate anchor text as much as possible.
