What's your take on Yahoo Publisher Network? Is it a good way to generate revenue online? What's the best way to use Yahoo Publisher Network? What are upsides? What are downsides? _________________ Online Education |

For a few sites, it doesn't do too well because it doesn't have a large enough advertiser pool yet but that is certainly a very small minority. They have great payouts per click, great and friendly customer service (even phone, unlike Google), great system to assure that the publisher doesn't get punished (ie. banned) because a stranger went to the site and went on a clicking spree.
I really prefer YPN.. they are better than Adsense in almost every aspect. |

I hear a lot of good things about YPN. Major problem is that it doesn't serve ads targeting non-US audience. So, traffic coming from non-US countries are wasted essentially. _________________ Travel News Online College Degree |

Yea, I am seeing a terrible slump on my webmaster forum because the active membership has shifted and most of the people posting right now are from the Philippines. That is the only reason I can figure that I'm getting practically no clicks on it.
I will say, though, that even with that drop in clicks on that site, YPN is still doing very well for me. I have quite a few other sites with the ads. |

I mean there tends to be a continual rotation and hardly any of the ones who were active the first few months are still around while the majority of the posts, right now, are coming from a group who work together in an office in the Philippines.
It is kinda typical for any forum.. some will join and post for a month or two and then they're gone. As long as you manage to keep a few long-term regulars and manage to keep new members signing up, this shouldn't be too much of a problem for a forum owner. |

| I think YPN may be somewhat overated. People offering $400 for an invite are just crazy. The only way to make money from YPN is to target the higher paying ads and hope people click. |

I haven't used it. Until I consistently read that it outperforms AdSense, I probably will never try it, too.

Once this comes out of beta and starts serving ads in all countries, I will probably apply and run it in one of my sites or two. I'd like to have another option to generate income. _________________ Travel News Online College Degree |

I'm going to hold fire to start with as I'm happy wiht AdSense. If I start to hear that it's outperforming Google (and I'm sure that'll emerge in the forums I frequent if it does), then I'll have to review the situation.

Regards | It's been like that for some time. I don't think that the main reason for the delay is technology. I think that the main reason for the delay is poor inventory. _________________ Travel News Online College Degree |
