I think that's about it. Once phpBB3.0 is out, this forum will eventually upgrade from phpBB2.0.x to phpBB3.0. Same mods will probably be installed. _________________ Travel News Online College Degree |

Can you insert the metatags manually? Ive always found it hard to SEO a forum because I have no meta control. |

Unless you tweak the database, you cannot manually create a meta description. However, the referenced "unique meta descriptions improved" mod automatically creates a unique meta description for each page. I think this is pretty useful. I can't imagine manually creating meta description for all forum threads. _________________ Travel News Online College Degree |

Actually, I was an anti-Able2Know and meta tag mods so I had to make 'em up myself, and didn't require any DB changing. In the overall header.tpl, under the {meta}, put up a <meta name="description" content="{PAGE_TITLE}" /> and in the i.e viewtopics.php, change the $page_title into the $topic_title only .
LOL, this makes no sense right now, but I actually managed to do pretty well SEOing a phpBB forum myself.. _________________ Gunbound Aimbot |
