What opportunities are there when you try to generate revenue using webmaster and seo website? Is running contextual ads a good way to generate revenue? How about affiliate programs? If so, what affiliate programs related to webmaster and seo are there?

I think there are a lot of relevant affiliate programs for webmasters and stuff.
SUch as affiliate programs for software and memberships. I don't think many people actually join those though.

I feel that this area is overcrowded. A lot of people set up webmaster sites. There are also number of established webmaster sites already.

I actually just started one and am having trouble coming up with ways to gain revenue from them the best thing I've come up with is to use the affiliate program at text-link-ads.com

Someone suggested this in this forum.
1. Join in a text link ad network like
DP Coop
Link Vault
ReceiveLinks
2. Get weight, vaultage or points
3. Rent weight, vaultage or points
One way to make money using webmaster sites. If you have a webmaster forum, this can be a nice way to make money because the forum creates a bunch of pages, and the more pages you have, the more weight, vaultage or points you can get.

How do you mean by that? Are you asking if these sites are up and running? Are you asking if you can actually make money? Are you asking if you can get high rankings? What exactly are you asking?

The DP CooP is actually causing some problems with Google, it is degrating SERPs, badly!
I too believe that webmasters are bloating the whole business, come on, we all know about SEO! It's the same damn techniques we are all using  !
The best profit thing, will probably Adsense, and when you eventually get banned , move on to e-related affiliates...

Web hosting can bring you a steady income, but the competition is fierce. I can't really think of much else. What affiliate programs are available?

The DP COOP is lowering your SERP, some people have no problem with it but most of the people running coop dropped their rankings, from what I heard.

Many sites that host DP Coop ads suffer. I don't know about sites advertised using DP Coop (but do not host DP Coop ads). They shouldn't really suffer, because if they did, then competitors can bring down other sites externally. But it's just a theory.
