It's not a corporate service out to get your articles. It's a free and (I think) non-profit website. All visitors just click the link to your article and are redirected to the exact source of that article (which should be on your site). Since digg is such a high-traffic website you get tons of clicks.

good content is just the startof it you have to fine ways to let people down you exist, putting your sig in similar forum is a start. having good referral competition would also draw in a few more people.

I need to work on the traffic, this seems to be my main issue now. I have achieved this by signatures, link exchanges, and now Adwords. Can't know if it's better or not, but I'll keep you posted on that. I'm still starting with this adwords thing

I try to create new articles as much as I can. Unique content. Post a lot and also mod the scripts and themes to have the forums look better, this makes for some returning visitors and my members can also "show" off our community.
As getting peopel there: signatures were the best so far and some referrals made by my memebrs
