I'm pretty sure I've seen these ads on some sites, and if they are what I think they are, then they are pretty annoying. Isn't this the ad network that scans your page for certain keywords and makes them links, and when you hover over them there is a popup? If so, I didn't like these ads. I've seen some pages that had so many of these links that you could barely move your mouse without getting a popup. I guess they are less annoying than some ads, but still.. |

1. You need to hover over. Then, you can see ads ...
2. You need to click.
In other words, inline ads require users' active participation. This is not the case for contextual ads. _________________ Travel News Online College Degree |

Another problem I can see with these ads is that they may confuse users if you have other links within your content that are legitimate. I think these ads are distiguished by a double underline, but the average user is probably just going to see it as another link. I wouldn't like the idea of having real links mixed with this kind of ad in an article or forum. It seems like you would lose the trust of your readers.
I like the idea of blending ads from networks like Adsense with the content, but even then, there is a clear delineation between content and ads since the ads are labelled. |

I actually think that it's a clever mechanism, but I wouldn't bother clicking on these ads personally because, as I said, it feels kind of cumbersome. _________________ Travel News Online College Degree |
