Are they any good for your forum. I installed arcades on my soccer forum and couple of people registered just to play hehe. I really don't care because maybe just maybe they will come forward and post at the end. I made new forum for those players to talk about arcades .... maybe that will get them going !
What is your experience or opinion on that issue ? _________________ Soccer Forum

It is not essentially but let them play the games, why not ? Maybe some registers to play games and eventually they post. No harm done _________________ Soccer Forum

Well, let us know how it goes. I have a mixed feeling about it personally. _________________ Travel News Online College Degree |

Maybe I'm going insane, but I thought for sure I already posted in something like this. Anyway, I think that arcade games are fairly useless for all but gaming forums. I find that devoted members (in a non-game related forum) don't like games and the members that play only games are not devoted members. _________________ www.nerdcouncil.com - Forums are finally done!!! |

I think they can help, you do get people just playing and not posting but as long as you can cope with that (bandwidth issues) then there isn't much of a downside. Anything that encourages users to return can't be a bad thing!

Arcades are great marketting for websites, I have seen many of them and some arcades make thousands per month. I saw this article on www.gamescript.net I believe, you should check it out sometime |

I'm not a gamer, so I can't speak from experience, but quite a few sites including forums offer games, and some sites and forums are doing very successfully. Some forums get an enormous number of posts, and I have no idea how they manage to handle that kind of super heavy traffic. _________________ Travel News Online College Degree |

They're only useful on gaming forums. A good trick is to use a points system. Either members pay x points per month to have unlimited access to the arcade or they pay y points per game. _________________ www.nerdcouncil.com - Forums are finally done!!! |

They help make the site more 'sticky'. I have also found the arcade hel pwith registrations as existing users tell there friends etc about it, most of these will post on the forums eventually _________________ PooQ - www.pooq.co.uk

I've seen forums that host many forum games to create fun and entertaining atmosphere. What's kind of interesting is that few successful webmaster forums host forum games. Maybe webmasters aren't interested? Maybe (forum) games are not good fit to webmaster forums? _________________ Travel News Online College Degree |
