What's your take on standard compliant html? Do you need to make standard compliant html? Should you? _________________ Online Education |

I'm assuming this includes xhtml?
If so yes. Very important, it will insure your site will work on future mediums. Such as Palms, phones, etc.
If you're using regualr html, I wouldn't bother. _________________ Music Forum

XHTML looks so much cleaner than regular HTML. Retrospectively speaking, HTML was so messy. It makes sense for us to move from HTML to XHTML. _________________ Travel News Online College Degree |

It really doesn't matter that it 'looks' so much cleaner. It's all about the business rules. As was mentioned, compliant code degrades gracefully for mobile devices, and that's going to become more critical as they become more mainstream _________________ get help with emarketing at the email marketing forum

Actually, sales of mobile devices that are capable of doing many things that PC can do are down. There was an article about it a couple of days ago. While I do agree that we should always try to make our code standard compliant to reach as many end users as possible, I'm not so sure if mobile devices ever become the mainstream. _________________ Travel News Online College Degree |

it doesn't matter if sales are down. The saturation is already there, it's just waiting for people to start using it.
I've only recently started browsing the web on my phone, and I use myself as a bellwether for technology adoption _________________ get help with emarketing at the email marketing forum
