Not keeping bang up to date with security patches if you use well known forum software. Always check regularly. Getting your site hacked can create so much work it's depressing.

One of my boards got hacked once. I was able to recover 99%+ posts, but boy, it made me work so hard to recover it. I learned a lot though.

Lack of perseverence. Too many think it's easy to make money with the internet. They try for 6 months, see little reward and often give up. You've got to understand it takes time.
