This sounds so obvious, but having friendly and positive atmosphere is the key to success. Long posts are great obviously, but the positive atmosphere is much more important in the long term arguably.

Too long posts are not good, well at least I do not read them .... lets say if posts are 2 pages long ... who will read all that. We want dynamic forum not novels when it looks strange when you reply with one liner to long boring post
