What do you think about related topics mod? Should we have the mod in this forum? If so, where should we display related topics? _________________ Travel News Online College Degree |

I dont think it'd hurt...why not throw one right underneath all of the thread information? In between the thread bottom and the footer...that's where I've seen most go. _________________ AdminFusion - Forum administrators and moderators |

Do you mean like a RSS feed with syndication from other websites that have related topics (e.g. forum development)? Cause that's a great idea! I might even add it to my own forum! _________________ www.nerdcouncil.com - Forums are finally done!!! |

No, actually just related topics from within this forum. _________________ Travel News Online College Degree |

Yeah, that sort of thing is always nice, as someone said it certainly can't do any harm, also helps people locate topics they may have otherwise not seen.

| It's a nice mod. My only dislike in the implementation is that you have over a full page of stuff underneath the last post in a topic. The layout is a little confusing when you've just posted. Maybe you could modify the skin to compress the quick reply and related topics to take up less room. The Recent Topics part at the bottom doesn't achieve much other than take up screen space as recent topics are at the top of the forum list anyway. |

Sounds pretty reasonable, and I think I should just remove recent topics (and maybe put it on the index page). You're the second person who suggested it, so this is a sign that I should do this ... _________________ Travel News Online College Degree |

It's a very good mod. Glad to see it here too. I have installed it in all my forums since it can really help users get some related topics at the moment they post, and this could make them post in the related topics too ... I have followed links like this and posted, so it must be a good idea in the end. _________________ Webmaster Tips & Tricks - Music forums - Movie forums |

I think the mod is a good idea. It encourages activity on older threads. It's something I really ought to implement.
