Is it worth it? All indications point to the Big-G going to not give these links weight in the SERPS, however how can G tell?
Also how much is one PR6 link really worth? $10, $5, a month? _________________ Webmaster Blog | Free forums | Free Hit Counter |

pr6 link is worth 5-10 a month .... google can really not tell if link is paid or not but sure it knows if sites are related ! and if they are not links are devalued _________________ Soccer Forum

If you can get ROI, sure, if not, it's not worth it. Google can only speculate at the end of the end. Some are detected but not all. Some free links are actually seen as paid links by Google probably. _________________ Travel News Online College Degree |

The best ROI is if you get link from related sites but not your competition. When I started with my first site I sent thousands of emails to site owners asking them to link to me ..... It was quite succeslful campaign ! .... I don't do that anymore since I have so much sites that I link from them to my new one and then slowly start building directory links....It is much faster than writing emails and asking politely for links .... but if you have time it is worthed since you get the most quality links and usually of high PR _________________ Soccer Forum

Here is another, but related, question
If I was to buy a link simply because of the PR, how would I monitor the ROI? What if I am not getting a lot of human click throughs, but my PR increases because of the link? _________________ Webmaster Blog | Free forums | Free Hit Counter |

You can not mesure ROI just like that. PR the bigger the better I say. But it all comes to natural SE visitors at the end. _________________ Soccer Forum

However, I wouldn't buy links to get high PR unless I have some money to throw around. Even if I did, I'd probably get paid search directory links instead of paid monthly links. _________________ Travel News Online College Degree |

But if you are buying links for a paid directory will G count them
? Google must be able to tell that the links are paid for in a paid directory.
I usually stay away from paying for links for PR just because it is extremely hard to measure ROI. _________________ Webmaster Blog | Free forums | Free Hit Counter |

Not necessarily. Some directories have both paid link and free link. It's rather difficult for Google to distinguish two. _________________ Travel News Online College Degree |

So a directory like mine where I have a paid express review option, Google will not peanilize those links any more than they do any other directory link _________________ Webmaster Blog | Free forums | Free Hit Counter |

I sincerely doubt if Google can detect all paid links. Even if you state that your directory offers paid submission option, Google probably can't tell the difference between paid link and regular link. I mean, you, the human, probably can't tell the difference, so how can Google tell the difference? _________________ Travel News Online College Degree |

| I never buy links, most of the time you can get links of the same PR just by trading. |

Paying for links is a good thing, if you can afford it. Just make sure that the links are SEO friendly and on a related site. _________________ www.nerdcouncil.com - Forums are finally done!!! |
