The toolbar page rank is only updated every three months or so. Your actual page rank is constantly updated by Google. They stopped showing live page rank years ago. _________________ Webmaster Community |

Well what do ya know, I have a page rank of 4! I just checked it after following that link. Which is weird because my pagerank on the website is zero. Maybe it's just not updated yet? You'd think with all the web dev folks hey have at google, they could find a way to update the darn PR toolbar in real time.
I haven't found that pagerank makes any sort of difference unless you're trying to sell ads or links. People want to be listed on high ranking sites. |

say you have a website that doesn't have backlinks but it's the only one in its niche (I know it's an utopic situation)
do you guys thing it will get some PR or will be dead at 0? |
This is part of my argument against link popularity. What's better:
a) A medical article written by a gifted researcher who couldn't care less about backlinks.
b) A medical article written by a bafoon who paid for a whack of backlinks?
According to PR, b) would be more authoritative. _________________ WebWobot Search Engine & Forums | WebWobot PageTrade Multi-Exchange |

If people are buying websites based on their PR, then they need to re-think their strategy. _________________ Business Forums - Sport Forums - Travel Forums |

| What does google page rank exactly mean? Is it anything to do with submitting your link to their services? |

What's the highest PR any of you have ever had. I got up to 7 with a few domains once (I think I briefly even had an , but nothing like that lately - just lots of 6s. _________________ Business Forums - Sport Forums - Travel Forums |

google's page ranking matters in a great extent..the page with the high rank will be visited by the more and more users....
and that page will never be blocked...
the high rank of page can only be possible by more book markings, article submissions, link buildings etc..
