PPC or Affiliate program? Which will work or more successful for forum site? I heard that PPC is not really good for forum site as it has low CTR. But how about affiliate program? Anyone can share your experience? _________________ AdSenser Forum | Web Hosting Directory | Forum Directory |

Whichever you use, you need to have targeted traffic. Also ads need to be placed on relevant pages; otherwise, you can't really make any money. Personally, I find that using PPC is easier, since I don't really have to place ads on relevant pages; PPC providers do that for me. _________________ Travel News Online College Degree |

You got the point. Yes, you are right, PPC is the easier way. Thanks for pointing this out.
BTW, Do you start with Google AdSense at the beginning or wait a while until your forum get steady traffic then only integrate it into your forum? _________________ AdSenser Forum | Web Hosting Directory | Forum Directory |

| I actually find affiliate ads bring in more money. One action makes me $1.50, where one 'click' is only 10 cents at best. I don't have ads on my forum, but I have both PPC and affiliate ads on my main site. |

I personally think that you should accumulate a couple of thousand posts at least before you start placing ads. I have other forums, and one of them has over 10k posts; I have not placed any ad on this forum yet. I will probably wait a little longer. _________________ Travel News Online College Degree |

Affiliates have not been good on my gaming forums. PPC pays more. _________________ CultIdols.com, where the sublime meets the ridiculous. |

That suprises me!
Any gaming site I've ever owned has only pulled in 10 cent clicks at the most. _________________ Music Forum

True, the PPC amount is low but it still beats zero gained from affiliates that I've tried. _________________ CultIdols.com, where the sublime meets the ridiculous. |

Affiliate program works really really well, when you have very targeted traffic. You can potentially make more than PPC. However, if that's not the case, then PPC generally works better. _________________ Travel News Online College Degree |
