There are number of paid services targeting webmasters, and forum paid posting service is one of them. What's your take on the service? Is there any company providing this service that you can recommend? _________________ Online Education |

Now this is a service that I have used in the past. Actually I have used them for 2 forums that I have recently started, and when I finish the forum that I am putting together now and sell one of my old websites then I will be using them again.
The service that I am using is www.inb0x.com
I must say that they are very good, at least for the two subjects that I have used them on recently. I have used a couple of others that were not quite as good. _________________ Webmaster Blog | Free forums | Free Hit Counter |

Would you tell us what those subjects are? I heard mixed reviews on paid posting services. Some say that these services are pretty useful. Others say that they are total waste of time. _________________ Travel News Online College Degree |

Well the first subject was Ebay and the other was Gaming. I was very impressed with the posts on the Ebay forum since that subject is MUCH harder than the gaming one.
They also started a lot of very good topics that were very good at starting conversations.
For the gaming forum they started a lot of good topics and when they reviewed a game, system, etc it was very well thought out. _________________ Webmaster Blog | Free forums | Free Hit Counter |

I wonder if they can have good discussions on education, health, finance, movies, seo and alternative energy. I already host education, health, finance, movies and seo forums, and I'll start alternative energy forum soon. Difficult decision to make though. It's tough to measure ROI in this case. _________________ Travel News Online College Degree |

As you know starting a forum is a lot of work. So paying for someone to add posts, content and topics is a esay way to get a jump start. The question that you have to ask yourself is how much is YOUR time worth. Say if you think that you can spend the time that you would normally be posting to get your forum started making more money than you are spending on the posts then go for it.
If you think that you currently have enough spare time, and would enjoy simply making the posts then I think that you may be better off doing it yourself. _________________ Webmaster Blog | Free forums | Free Hit Counter |

How much time you have is an important question, but I've been wondering about how much activity it should have in order for a forum to reach a critical point which new members start signing up without your asking. More specifically, I feel that there needs to be some activity at least daily, if not hourly. I wonder if paid posting service can play a vital role here. _________________ Travel News Online College Degree |

I think paid posting services can help a forum if used properly. It's almost impossible to get anyone to sign up for an empty forum, so this can be an easy way to get activity started. Most of the services are fairly cheap, so if you have a limited amount of time to work on your site (like I do), it is a very good investment.
Here's a tip for anyone considering these services: One of the complaints I've often heard about some of these services is that a lot of the posters will make posts in general discussion forums instead of the sections related to your topic. I got around this by not setting up a general discussion forum until quite a few posts had been made in the other sections of the forum. |

Yes. Paid posting services can help a forum "if used properly".
For my first attempt at starting a forum community, I hired 3 posting services and 2 independents to do about 500+ posts over 6 weeks. I am about halfway thru the experiment and there are certainly big differences between the quality of posts.
Two of the three services and both independents are doing good quality mostly on-topic work and one is doing short general discussion type posts. Oddly, you do seems to get what you pay for since the best posts come from the most expensive posters and the worst posts from from the less expensive service.
The biggest advantage to using so many different posters is that they are feeding off each others posts and making for some lively discussions. |

Not that much.
Rates vary from 14 to 30 cents per post so the bill was just under $100. |
