|
|
I was thinking about doing this with my forum: remove advertisements during the growth phases. But then I decided I can't due to my Ad Revenue sharing program.
However, here is my thought: Because it is all PPC ads, I'm not going to make any money anyways for the first little bit... at least nothing substantial.
So, I think it would make the site more user-friendly to build a stronger memberbase and possibly place the ads back in place when the site is actually worthy of ads.
Any thoughts? _________________ Entrepreneur Talk - Business Forum & Community |

I don't think it's a good idea to fill out all pages with ads when you have a new site though there are some exceptions. However, I also don't think it's a good idea to remove ads after you add them. You should modify from time to time, but I don't see why you should remove. _________________ Travel News Online College Degree |

You will just have to position them not to bother users too much. Otherwise as seo said why would you move them ? ... It will probably not help in getting new members if you remove them. _________________ Soccer Forum

I have this dilema with all my new sites.
I've pretty much decided to keep my sites ad free at least until they get indexed by the SE's.
Why? Don't really know, just seems like the right time. _________________ Music Forum

why would you wait. Put the ads right agter site is published ... there is no real reason to wait !! You just have to make ads not intruding to much for visitors. _________________ Soccer Forum

Good Position ... you should use 336x280 on left content column. Your ctr would be even higher I think. Oh yes and I would get rid of right column 120x600 banner and put 2 336x280 on your left content column as I said above. I don't see adlink units anywhere ? _________________ Soccer Forum

However, many webmasters display a few ads upon launching a new site. Well, then what? Should they keep ads or they should just remove them? _________________ Travel News Online College Degree |
