|
|
I was checking the search rankings of my forum last week, when I realized that Google was publishing the meta-description below each link for my website.
This almost made me want to remove the tags as I would prefer Google fetch an automated description based upon the contents of the site. Usually, this area acts as a preview to what the website is about and how relevant it is to the search term.
Can anyone relate to what I am saying (or even understand what I am getting at) and offer any advice to me? _________________ Entrepreneur Talk - Business Forum & Community |

I have never witnessed this with my website but I do know what you're talking about. A lot of people will look at the "preview" like text as proof that the website they're going to is relevent to what they searched for, so I can see your beef with the description. _________________ Nutty Chipmunk Productions

You should just remove meta keywords. You should create unique meta description for each page; this forum, for examples, creates unique meta description for each thread. Removing all meta descriptions is a possible consideration. _________________ Travel News Online College Degree |

How does the forum create a unique description for each page? Is it an automated script installed or something? _________________ Nutty Chipmunk Productions
