You can make some money posting in forums, right? How much can you really make?

Well I paid my poster 14c a post .... so for 50 posts you can make 7 dollars. And if you make 500 posts a day that would be 70 dollars. I think for 500 posts a day you need couple of hours. Maybe 3-4. You can make money but it is hard work

I don't think that I can post that many. 100 posts a day is manageable. 200 posts can be done. More than that? Well, you really need to be really really really good at posting ...

Why not ... It is not like you are writing your degree work. You have to think fast and write fast!

Well, it depends. It's hard work to be a freelance-poster. Admin's will more likely go with a free deal with a post exchange. However, you can sign up with a larger posting-company and make a set amount of money.

I thought about how much you can make, and you know, the pay is actually not terrible. If you live in a place where living expense is low, then you can do ok. The main problem is that you're really not acquiring anything. You post in someone's forum and he/she owns it; you will not own anything.

That's why it's dangerous to be a freelance poster. You're very secure if you work for an actual posting company.

Uh, ... now you're talking about differences between being employed and being independent or own your own business. We can be talking about pros and cons forever.

500 posts in a couple of hours? Seems a bit much... what kind of quality can be expected at such a fast rate?

I don't know how some people do it, but I've seen some posters who manage to do something crazy like that. Me, 100 posts a day is the max that I can manage in a day.

Ok, so, how many do they post a day? (It would be pretty funny if they manage to buy a house or something just from the money they earn posting in forums ...)

500 posts in a couple of hours sounds absurd. You've got to be posting lots of very short messages (probably drivel) to attain that.

I'm not so sure. I've seen a couple of forums that supposedly hire paid posters, and they're not bad. They certainly don't fill out your forum with one-liners.
