Having said that, I hardly make anything through AdSense because my site isn't established enough yet. I plan to stick with AdSense though and hopefully through time traffic and revenue will grow. |
What kind of site(s) do you have? |
It's basically just a general entertainment site.
I write articles and columns about some pretty random stuff that I hope at least some people find amusing. I've made videos with friends that we've posted and there's some games, etc.
It's not the most profitable type of site, I'm sure, but at some point it could generate at least a little income. _________________ Nutty Chipmunk Productions

I don't think it's the most profitable niche, either. But that being said, I do have an entertainment site, i.e., movie site. I actually do believe that I can start making some money given time and effort like you. _________________ Travel News Online College Degree |

I think it depends on your audience.
I've since switched to chitika minimalls on one of my websites that features programming code, because I figure no programmers click on adsense ads _________________ get help with emarketing at the email marketing forum

IT/web/seo/webmaster/web design site may need to use some imagination to display ads differently. As you suggest, targeted audience tend not to click on AdSense ads so often. _________________ Travel News Online College Degree |

I also find that many of them have browser extensions which actually block the ads from displaying
not too mention that any clicks generate very little $ _________________ get help with emarketing at the email marketing forum

It really depends on what topic each page has. For example, if you're running an entertainment site, you wouldn't be able to make much money. _________________ Travel News Online College Degree |

Did you mean Foogle or Froogle? How can you make your website make money via either of those?

Adsense has been the best in my experience for forums but you do need a lot of traffic. _________________ CultIdols.com, where the sublime meets the ridiculous. |

Having regular visitors is nice, but they generally start blocking out ads eventually. So, they won't be clicking contextual ads or banner ads. ... that's what I think, but ... does everyone agree? _________________ Travel News Online College Degree |

I think so too. Also, doesn't it take a little time for ads to catch up to the topic? Old topics tend to show more relevant ads than fresh topics, and people tend to go more to the fresh topics. Or am I just imagining this? _________________ WebWobot Search Engine & Forums | WebWobot PageTrade Multi-Exchange |

I certainly cannot see how exactly algo works, but it's pretty fair to guess that AdSense tends to show many irrelevant ads on new pages; they tend to show pretty relevant ads on old pages. _________________ Travel News Online College Degree |

Doesn't the Adsense spider first have to visit the page for relevant ads to start showing? _________________ WebWobot Search Engine & Forums | WebWobot PageTrade Multi-Exchange |

No. AdSense autumnally displays ads even if AdSense bot has not visited the page. However, it appears that the bot visits the page later on to display more relevant ads. _________________ Travel News Online College Degree |

You also end up with more public service ads until the bots stopped by. _________________ CultIdols.com, where the sublime meets the ridiculous. |
