Hi
Out of all the money spinning things out there I think the Yahoo Publisher Network is the only one that I have not tried. Do you have any examples of pages using this?? I do like adsense, is it comparible to adsense in terms of accuracy of matching your page content to the ads??? _________________ Phil

I highly recommend YPN.. almost every thing about it is better than Adsense. Higher payouts for a click, better reporting, great customer service (including an 800 number where you talk to live people).
Targeting is still the biggest area that needs work because they don't have a big enough pool of advertisers to choose from but it is consistently improving and the higher payouts seem to make up for the lower CTR for most publishers. |

Hi
I did not realise that it was not yet available for the UK but jusdging by the last comments the higher payout than Google is very interesting. I will be looking out for a UK release with bated breath. _________________ Phil

Does it mean that only US publishers can run ads AND Yahoo only runs ads targeting US audience? _________________ Travel News Online College Degree |

| Yes, while YPN is in BETA, it is limited to US publishers and the publishers don't make money off clicks from IPs outside the States. |

Ok ... so, if you're getting a fair amount of traffic from non-US audience, then what would you do? Would you display different ads? If so, how? _________________ Travel News Online College Degree |

Ok, let's say that you have that website. Then what would you about 35% of the traffic? It's pretty significant. _________________ Travel News Online College Degree |

I've been using Yahoo Publisher Network since November of last year and I love it. The payouts at the start were insanely high compared to Google AdSense. The average cost per click was in the mid $x.xx. However, there are a lot more advertisers now and the revenue has been slowly dropping down to AdSense level.
I would still highly reccomend it over Google AdSense any day, simply because the support.
seo, my website is like that . I am waiting for it to get out of beta so I can get some more money . I have a large European audience. But even though, I am still making more than I did with AdSense. _________________ SKETCHi Studios | Graphic Addicts | Music Our Way | Image Addicts |

I just hate the fact that I am relying on AdSense so much. I manage to get to the point which 50% of my total income is generated by other means, but AdSense is the only contextual ad that I publish. I'd like to diversify. _________________ Travel News Online College Degree |

| I also have a lot of visits from Europe and Canada (maybe 10 to 15%) on my webmaster forum that runs YPN ads but I haven't seen clicks being adjusted out. I'm trying to figure out if they have managed to just keep them from appearing in my revenue report in the first place or if the foriegn visitors are just not clicking. |

Regards | My wild guess is that YPN is more or less ready. YPN hasn't come out of beta not because its software isn't ready but because its marketing isn't ready. YPN probably doesn't have enough inventory of ads to have a vast number of publishers like Google. That's my guess. _________________ Travel News Online College Degree |
