Hi
Here are a couple of question...
What SEO steps do you make when creating a site?
Part 1: Onpage SEO, what do you do?
Part 2: Offpage SEO, what do you do?
(offpage is things like submitting to directories etc) _________________ Phil

i) I make sure to let all pages have a unique title and description.
ii) Try to create a hierarchical internal link structure.
iii) If I can, I try to create flattened out url strings. If I can go further, then I try to create descriptive url strings.

i) As of right now, I am creating links using forum signature links mostly for variety of reasons. _________________ Travel News Online College Degree |

1. Title, H1, H2 ...
2. a lot of directories ....
3. I made couple of directories that are pr5 and that is great .... you can send SE bots almost the same day to your new page since if you have pr5 site bots are there daily..... signatures on forums you participate are good also _________________ Soccer Forum

I do my best to make each page unique, this is in Title, Meta information and page content.
I use H1 and H2 tags
I submit to different directories. Paid and free ones. _________________ http://www.LucnetSolutions.com - World Wide Hosting Solutions |

Lucnet : Which paid ones are you submitting ? ... I really don't see any reason to pay for directory since there are some strong PR free ones that are getting crawled regularely by SE bots ! _________________ Soccer Forum

Well it has been awile since I have. I can't really remeber at the moment. I only submitted to ones that asked for $1. The ones asking for $10 I didn't. _________________ http://www.LucnetSolutions.com - World Wide Hosting Solutions |

Hi
I tend to agree, there are lots of places to add a link for free. I think the ultimate aim is to get plenty of links from related sites. I think it is better to target your niche with regard to linking. Directories are still good, but popular sites on your theme are definately better. _________________ Phil

Part 1: Onpage SEO, what do you do?
- I look to make every page on the site diffferent. I will create title, keyword and description tags different for each page.
- The key phrase in the title tag of the page will be used in H1 tag and a variation of this in a H2 tag within the content.
- I add these same keyphrases into the onpage text to bring up the keyword density value, but making the text read naturally to a person. These keyphrases are used in italic, bold, and hyperlinks.
Part 2: Offpage SEO, what do you do?
(offpage is things like submitting to directories etc)
- I tend to change my forum signiture's around dependant upon what site I want to get off the ground, this ensure's quick initial spidering and some visits from forum members
- Start a link building campaign using the keyphrase that I have on the index.html page as the anchor text.
- After that has gone well I will run another link building campaign to target other important pages on the site, using anchor text specific to the page linked to.
- Have a stab at getting into DMOZ, and try a few directories.

One thing I see is not mentioned is : You must make couple of directories (3 at least) and make sure to get high PR. Then all your sites you want to launch ... just put a banner-link there and SEs will pick it up in couple of days. Just for you to know. I had great success with that method. All my sites are indexed within 10 days and I start getting SE traffic in the week I published my new site. On my Soccer Forum at http://www.goalchat.com .... After exactly one month I get 200 unique visitors a day and 150 of those 200 are from google !!! I must say I am really surprised hehe _________________ Soccer Forum

Yes ... I have twice as I recommend ..... you don't have to have domain for directory .... you just make it directory.yourdomain.com .... The most good thing is you get tons of backlinks autopilot hehe because there are so many sites with free directories lists |
