What are your views on taking on a site that has been created by someone else. Imagine a client approaches you and wants you to take over the site, carry out updates, etc. for them.

We have done this many times, but sometimes it can be a real headache, depending on what software has been used to create it.

I agree. It is a total headache sometimes. Just do what I do and charge accordingly.
